‘YANDINA SPEEDWAY’, the long-awaited, and first signature model of OG M/SF/T family JAKE VINCENT, and who would expect a shape and name anything less representative of the “Vin”.

This is QLD, engine culture and hellman spirit all packaged in a model for those that desire to surf like Vin; animated, untamed, progressive and unpredictable. The model bears a lot of similarity to Vin’s previous chariots of choice, the DD2 and DINGO, with a similar wide nose and tail that draw the rail line out making it more parallel to create maximum speed + drive. Lismore levels of speed + lift are also achieved from our proven quad channel bottom developed through our ‘Diamond Dancer’ series, which project out the tail in a similar way to the DD. The tail also harnesses another previously proven element, the domed swallow from the MERMAID KILLER, which in short, promotes speed and release, while maintaining control, especially in a reversed position.

Got it yet? Well we’re not even nearly done…. Almost all of this board’s big Vin energy is in its deck and rails. The deck is fully flat, in fact it goes beyond into a subtle concave, which creates a more sensitive surfing feel; as one’s feet are almost closer to the water and fin area. Toward the tail this then moves into a slight double concave for comfort and grip while shuvving and revving. This is all finished off with chimed rails to propel water off the deck and create shapely rails that penetrate the wall of the wav without biting.

The last element, which is oh so important, is the 13 hand-drawn decals by the iconic Australian punk artist BEN BROWN that are guaranteed to make this board un-noticeable to none. As one can see she is wild beyond belief, but on a technical level this board is the evolution and next generation of the MK/ DD series, which has been years of design and research in planning hulls, channels, parallel outlines, water displacement and timeless surfboard design.

Delivery in TAS, WA, NT, SA can incur additional shipping costs. Surf Shops Australia will advise you of any additional costs & you are welcome to proceed or cancel your order. Shipping details will be provided once your surfboard is shipped, so you will know the freight carrier & tracking details. Surfboards can take 1-2 business days to leave the warehouse so we can ensure safe packaging & best logistics. Surfboard cannot be sent via Australia Post, or to PO Boxes as they are too big. Certain areas in Australia may not be available for delivery if there are no couriers that service the area.

Construction:

For nearly 2 years M/SF/T have been developing an EPS/ Epoxy construction with the product engineers at SURFTECH in California. The construction possesses all the great benefits of highly technical eps/ epoxy construction (strength, flex, lightness, liveliness) but in a stripped back minimal aesthetic, with the normal graphic expression you'd come to expect from M/SF/T.

By keeping the construction simple we’ve found our boards built in Primitek perform as an extension of surfers’ instincts.
