POD SAFETY TIPS

All Sharkbanz users should be aware that sharks are wild animals and unpredictable. Our patented technology has been extensively tested, researched, and proven as an effective shark deterrent, but Sharkbanz have not been tested on all species of sharks. Sharkbanz can reduce the risk of shark interactions, but there is no 100% guarantee that interactions will not take place.
There should never be any attempt to entice sharks to interact with humans, with or without Sharkbanz.
Any human activity in the water near sharks must always be considered as possessing a considerable degree of risk which is assumed solely by the wearer.

Other ways to reduce the risk of shark attack whilst surfing include:

Don’t go surfing in water that is brown and murky, usually it's like this if it is run-off from a recent rain event. Similarly, don’t surf near a river mouth nor other flow of water into the ocean, especially not where sewage treatment flows into the sea. Don’t go surfing in water that is known to be "sharky". Don’t go surfing where there is a steep underwater drop-off into deep water. Don’t be the only person out at a surf spot. Don’t be the furthest person out at a surf spot. Don’t surf with a bleeding cut. Finally, we all know sharks tend to feed at dusk and dawn, and at night, so don’t go surfing during those times.
